Our medical director, Dr. Sundar Cherala has been providing pain medicine services since 1989.  We take pride in our work and treat the patient as a whole. We believe that no problem is too small. We will give you the time you need and the attention your condition deserves. A variety of pain conditions are treated at Fox Valley Pain Center, including:  low back pain  sciatica  herniated discs  spinal stenosis  neck pain  post surgical pain  failed back  shingles pain  RSD  arthritis  peripheral neuropathy and Cancer pain. After a complete and thorough evaluation, analyzing the x-rays, MRI and the various laboratory tests done, a comprehensive treatment plan is initiated. This may include medications,  physical therapy, consultation with other physicians,  life style changes and targeted injection treatments and minimally invasive procedures. The procedures performed include: Epidural injections Facet nerve blocks Joint injections and Trigger point injections. More advanced pain management techniques used include: Nerve stimulators  Spinal cord stimulation and Morphine and Baclofen pumps. For disc induced low back and leg pain, non-surgical treatments are offered when appropriate. These include:  IDET (Intra Discal Electro Thermal annuloplasty)  Nucleoplasty and Disc decompression.  Radiofrequency (RF) nerve ablation is done to provide long-term pain control when nerve blocks provide short term relief.   Most care is provided to you in our conveniently located state of the art facility. We participate in most insurance plans; however, it is your responsibility to check with your insurance carrier prior to treatment. If your plan requires a referral, you should contact your primary care physician and obtain the same. Please bring your insurance card with you to all appointments, so that your claims may be filed accurately.
